In the coming years, Volta will develop into a comprehensive residential and business district, featuring a fully functional 15-minute neighbourhood infrastructure and a strong sense of community. The historic industrial buildings will be revitalized, and they will be complemented by new and modern energy class A buildings and high-rises. At the heart of the Volta Quarter will soon lie a 1.5-hectare peaceful landscaped park, winding through the district and offering a serene space to recharge both body and mind. Residents can play padel at the city’s most stylish new sports centre, Endover Volta Padel. Furthermore, fitness enthusiasts can enjoy access to the world-class MyFitness club and pilates, all within Volta. In Volta’s backyard, the Krulli business quarter, akin to a local Silicon Valley, is emerging. Recently, Wise has established its headquarters in Krulli, laying a significant cornerstone for the development of the local technology hub. Together with the seaside promenade, Noblessner marina and Krulli business quarter, this once-famous industrial area is transforming into Estonia’s first 15-minute city. 120+ years of history

The Volta quarter is named after the Volta factory, which began operations on Tööstuse Street as early as 1899. Having produced electric motors, generators, and even submarines and military equipment for more than 100 years, the Volta factory has now scaled back to make room for the new attraction center in North Tallinn.
