The history of Volta Quarter dates back to more than 120 years ago when the first factory buildings were completed where a total of 10 million electric engines were manufactured and light was given to the city of Tallinn. Today, both historic limestone buildings and several fascinating elements have been preserved, some of which can be visited in the completed buildings already today.
