VOLTA BLOG | New buildings in the Volta quarter
In the Volta quarter exciting times are underway: in the spring, the corner stone was laid on the first new building in the quarter, and to date, several new buildings have already been erected on the plot, hidden from the public eye. The historic Volta Galerii Lofts will be ready already this autumn, while the first new buildings of the quarter, the Volta Residences, will be completed in the winter.
A total of six new buildings
The full height of the first new buildings of the quarter, i.e. the buildings of Phase I and II of Volta Residences, will be reached in the fourth quarter of this year, i.e. autumn, and the first apartments will be completed by the end of the year. The construction of Volta Residences will be completed in the first half of 2023.
The Volta Residences buildings, hidden in the peaceful privacy of the inner quarter, offer a selection of 1-4-room apartments, lofts with internal floors and different levels, as well as exclusive penthouse apartments with a wonderful view of both the sea and the old town. The buildings are connected as a whole by a green park with high vegetation and recreation areas, which will be built inside the quarter.
Although these are new buildings, the design of the buildings resonates with the industrial architecture of the entire quarter and is inspired by Volta’s legendary waffle machine. The buildings have floor-to-ceiling squared windows and balconies with decorative borders, which as a whole resemble the grid and angular shapes of a waffle machine.
