VOLTA BLOG I Volta Gallery Lofts and Volta Residences are being completed

In the Volta Quarter located in the heart of North Tallinn, life is being kicked into high gear: buildings with a history of more than 120 years are being restored during construction alongside building new architecturally suitable buildings. One of the most exciting buildings in the Quarter, Volta Gallery Lofts, will be completed already this year, and the first new buildings in the Quarter, Volta Residences, will be completed in the beginning of next year.

In the course of Endover’s large-scale project, a comprehensive residential and commercial quarter of a total of 29 buildings where everything necessary is a few minutes away will be built in the most rapidly developing district in Tallinn.

Volta Residences

At the end of this year, the first apartments in the first new buildings in the Quarter, Volta Residences, will be completed. Six new buildings with a total of 148 apartments will be completed in the first half of next year. Parking for the entire Quarter will be moved underground.

The cornerstone for the second stage of the Residences will be laid in July, and the full height of buildings of stage I and II will be reached in autumn, i.e. in the fourth quarter. The construction of Volta Residences will be completed in early 2023.

The buildings of Volta Residences offer 1–4-room apartments as well as lofts with internal floors and different levels, plus exclusive penthouse apartments with a view of the sea and the Old Town. The design of Volta Residences is inspired by the legendary Volta waffle maker – buildings with a minimalist design characteristic of industrial architecture feature floor-to-ceiling squared windows and balconies with decorative railings.

Volta Gallery Lofts

At the beginning of the year, the cornerstone was laid for one of the most special buildings in the Volta Quarter – a 172 metre long limestone building with arched windows from the beginning of the last century, Volta Gallery Lofts. Loft-type terraced homes featuring ceilings up to 6 metres high and courtyards as well as commercial premises of various sizes, which will be completed this summer, are planned in the building.

The Volta Gallery Lofts building will have large and spacious townhouse and loft-type apartments through three floors and commercial premises.

The full height of the building will be reached in July, and the building will be ready for moving in and for its new residents in the fourth quarter of the year.

The Quarter will be completed by 2025 and will have residences and jobs for a total of nearly 3,000 people.
