Industrial high-ceiling apartments in a grand former machine factory building
Since 1899, life and innovation thrived at Mootori 2, one of the very first buildings of the historic Volta machine factory. Today, this grand industrial landmark has been reborn — its dignified limestone walls and authentic arched windows carefully preserved. Rising above them, two sleek new floors in a modern industrial style were added, creating stylish residences with breathtaking views of the Old Town and city skyline, the sea, and the greenery of the future Volta park area.
By the end of 2025, the building’s ground floor welcomed the city’s most modern MyFitness fitness club, while the new residences became move-in ready — offering a rare opportunity to live where history and contemporary lifestyle meet.

Loaded with new energy
At the very heart of the Volta Quarter, North Tallinn’s largest business and community hub — Volta HUB — is taking shape, bringing essential services and retail just a five-minute walk from home. Rising in Volta’s backyard is the Krulli Business Quarter, a local Silicon Valley already anchored by Wise’s headquarters — laying a strong foundation for a thriving technology campus. Together with Noblessner and Krulli, this once-famous industrial district is transforming into Estonia’s very first 15-minute city.
Volta HUB’s key tenant, MyFitness, has opened its doors as the most modern fitness club in the Baltics. At the heart of the Volta living environment will be a 1.5-hectare landscaped park stretching through the quarter — a green haven designed to recharge both body and mind. For ball game enthusiasts, Endover Volta Padel offers the capital’s most stylish venue to enjoy padel.
Restaurants and cafes, conveniently downstairs
With direct lift access, you can step effortlessly down to the ground-floor restaurants and cafés — grab your morning coffee on the go or enjoy culinary delights with friends in the evening, all without ever stepping outside.
MyFitness sports club
At Volta HUB, MyFitness has opened a sports club featuring world-class gym equipment and state-of-the-art group training studios.

A historic revival
Reconstructing industrial architecture is always a challenge — but when a historic building is enhanced with contemporary elements and flexible interior layouts, the result is something truly special: a bold interplay of old and new. At Mootori 2, the building’s dignified original architecture and striking arched windows have been carefully preserved. Above them, the new extension is elevated from the ground, creating a dramatic central atrium while seamlessly integrating the building’s exterior with the architectural identity of Volta.
