ARCHITECTURE

100 years of history

The history of 5 Jahu Street dates back to the early 20th century when Rudolf Klausson erected a chocolate and candy factory on the site, serving also as a home to his family. A century on, the sandstone street-side building and adjacent courtyard building are being reconstructed. Dating from 1904, these structures are of great historical and architectural value. A new building with an industrial edge is being erected next to them. The buildings have a highly regarded architect Ra Luhse from Luhse & Tuhal.
