The First Homes of the New Phase of Volta Residences Will Be Completed This Year

The Volta Quarter has marked another milestone. The topping-out ceremony for the third phase of Volta Residences recently took place. The first new energy-efficient homes are set to be completed by the end of 2024.

To date, ten buildings have been completed in the quarter, three more will be finished within the next six months, and exciting announcements about entirely new projects are expected soon.

Energy-Efficient New Developments

The new phase of Volta will introduce three additional A-energy-rated apartment buildings, designed by the Apex architecture firm, into this historic quarter built on the principles of the 15-minute city. Like the already completed buildings, the new Volta Residents reflect the industrial style and over 100-year history of this former industrial area.

In addition to honoring history, the new Volta developments prioritize energy efficiency. Solar panels will be installed on the roofs, along with bicycle parking and charging stations for electric vehicles.

The Uus-Volta 10 buildings will include 1- to 5-room apartments, with underground weatherproof parking beneath, continuing the goal of making the quarter’s streets as car-free as possible.

Available options include spacious apartments of 44–127 m² with stylishly checkered windows and high ceilings. All homes will feature balconies or terraces. Ground-floor apartments will offer private terraces with direct access to the outdoors, while the upper floors will include large penthouses with stunning views of the sea and the Old Town.

A Neighborhood for the Future

The Volta Quarter is one of Tallinn’s most important and successful real estate developments, as well as a flagship project for Endover. This former industrial quarter, with over 100 years of history, is being transformed following the principles of the 15-minute city.

In the near future, the quarter will feature new residential and commercial spaces, leisure facilities for various age groups, a food street, and a kindergarten. Parking will be moved underground, and the heart of the quarter will include a landscaped park area. Exciting announcements about new business buildings, sports centers, restaurant spaces, and office areas in Volta are expected this year.

The total development area of the quarter is 142,000 m², with plans for over 750 apartments. Preparations are already underway to establish one of North Tallinn’s largest business districts, with 35,000 m² of commercial spaces planned.
