Gallery: The last high-rise of Rocca Towers in Haabersti reaches full height

Yesterday the residential and commercial quarter of Rocca Towers, which is being developed by Endover, hosted a party to celebrate the final stage of work – the fourth building reaching its full height. The entire quarter will be completed by this summer.

A residential and commercial development in the heart of Haabersti, consisting of five residential buildings and two parking houses, comes at a challenging time for Endover. The company’s CEO Robert Laud noted that the project, which started in 2020, is still being completed as planned, with the final apartments expected to be ready for move-in by late spring 2024.

“Recent years have been difficult for the real estate sector, from a macroeconomic point of view and due to the market situation. Despite this, in 2023 Endover achieved the second-best result in its history in terms of sales of new apartments and commercial premises,” Laud said. Last year Endover’s residential and commercial sales turnover totaled €41.5 million, which helps the company to maintain a strong position among the market’s top three property developers, alongside Merko and Hepsor.

“This year we will complete the construction of the Rocca Towers quarter, Riviera Viimsi houses and will continue to work on new stages of the Volta quarter in Põhja-Tallinn,” Laud said, adding that they are certain that the construction of Rocca Towers has changed the expectations and preferences of homebuyers. “Today people are looking for housing that is, of course, well-built and economical, but at the same time has high ceilings and wide windows. We see more and more attention being paid to the appearance and design of the building itself and its common areas.”

Chief architect of the quarter Rasmus Tamme from ARS Projekt explained that in the case of a high-rise building, on the one hand, you can play with repetitions in design, but on the other hand, it is necessary to find smart solutions that will be recognizable from afar and characteristic of this particular project. “Rocca Towers quarter is very important not only for the Haabersti area – with its architectural form and quality execution, it also adds to the entire urban space of Tallinn and brings four new high-rise buildings to the skyline of the capital,” said Tamme.

Rocca Towers are located next to the Haabersti viaduct. In total, five buildings with 342 apartments and 4,000 m² of commercial space will be built here. The landscaping, lighting as well as bicycle and pedestrian paths around the approximately 41,000 m² quarter will be completely renovated. The builder of the fourth high-rise building at Päevalille 10 – the last stage of the project – is Metropoli Ehitus OÜ. The architectural solution was created by OÜ ARS Projekt, and the interior architects for the project are Aet Piel and Maarja-Linda Taur.

Today, Endover is the developer with the most experience in the construction of high-rise residential buildings, of which four – in Haabersti and Kristiine – have already been built, and one is in the final stages of construction. Currently, the construction of two high-rise buildings is also planned in Põhja-Tallinn.
