Volta x Kalamaja Days: A Vibrant Fusion of Culture and Community

Volta x Kalamaja Days lit up the district with sunshine, greenery, and a spirit of exploration. Visitors had the chance to discover the unique history of the area, peek inside some of Volta’s most unique homes, and explore brand-new commercial spaces. The streets came alive with guests, music, art, and culinary delights.

Volta District put its best foot forward — showcasing itself as a vibrant, diverse, and open urban space where every step brought a new experience. Stay tuned for more updates on the district’s development here!

Doors were open to both the newly completed, stylish A-energy-class Volta Residences and to commercial spaces with historic limestone walls. Guests with a sporty spirit could enjoy Volta’s new padel center and MyFitness workouts, offering a firsthand taste of the district’s active lifestyle.

Creative fun for children and teens was provided by a collage workshop, where participants could design their own vision of Volta in the year 2050. The workshop was led by the creative collective Liim Paber Käärid in collaboration with the Estonian Academy of Arts. The day’s soundtrack came courtesy of DJ Rain Tolk, who spun a funky selection, while historian Juhan Kangilaski guided a walking tour through Volta’s colorful past and exciting future plans.

Volta’s culinary scene also opened its doors — including Rosé by Carré d’Or, Passiflora, Suhkruingel, and the newly opened Bakermill on the corner of Tööstuse Street — giving guests a chance to explore the neighborhood’s growing food and drink culture.

Experience the Summer Energy of Volta

Volta is reclaiming its historical vitality, and the businesses here invite everyone to come and explore. Stroll through the district’s new inner streets, step into local shops and boutiques, discover your next fashion find, enjoy a tasting at the local wine bar with friends, or challenge your group to a match at the new Volta Padel Center.

The district also offers beauty services, and pet lovers can bring their furry friends for grooming. The area’s largest gym, MyFitness, will open its doors in the Volta HUB business center in early 2026.

Brand-new Volta Residences are now move-in ready, as are the elegant Volta Villa homes located in the district’s distinguished main building. This year will also see the completion of the next phase of homes and commercial spaces in both Volta Residences and Gallery Lofts.
