Gallery: the cornerstone of Estonia’s most unique high-rise building was laid

May 15th 2019

Endover, the leading real estate developer in Estonia, laid the cornerstone of the 20-storey building named Torn (Estonian ‘Tower’) which is to rise in the city district Kristiine. Visitors had an opportunity to get lifted to the height of the future top floors on an elevating work platform to enjoy the panoramic view of Tallinn which will open from the most upmarket luxury apartment in Estonia to be soon completed.

What makes the high-rise building to emerge at 1 Seebi Street by the end of 2020 unique is the 600-square-metre penthouse to be constructed on the top floor, which will provide its dwellers with a number of top-class tailored solutions, including a private elevator right to the apartment, a glass-walled winter garden which will cover an area of over 200 square metres, and a terrace on the roof of the building giving a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire city of Tallinn. The luxury apartment priced at three million euros is known to be the largest and the most expensive apartment currently on sale in Estonia.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic skyscrapers of Manhattan, New York, Torn features multi-tier and articulated architecture with the first floor to be occupied by commercial spaces and the rest to be divided into apartments ranging from two to four rooms. Future dwellers will be able to use sundecks situated on several levels, the Horizon Club lounge and the children’s playground on the outdoor terrace on the 6th floor. The entrance to the building will open into a double-height foyer.

Torn provides a unique opportunity of living in a high-rise building outside the city centre with splendid views of the city, Kristiine greenery, Lake Ülemiste and the sea opening from the top floor

Marko Männimets, Sales Director of Endover

Marko Männimets, the Sales Director of Endover, says that although the most remarkable part of the building is the upscale luxury penthouse, it will still primarily consist of apartments of two to four rooms, the prices starting at 97,900 euros, which will make the Torn building on Seebi Street a good opportunity for home ownership and investment alike. “Torn is splendidly located: on the one hand, Kristiine city district is very green and mainly has private dwellings while there are also kindergartens, schools and parks; on the other hand, the heart of Tallinn is just a short drive away. Torn provides a unique opportunity of living in a high-rise building outside the city centre with splendid views of the city, Kristiine greenery, Lake Ülemiste and the sea opening from the top floor,” Männimets added.

The construction of Torn is at the moment in so-called ‘cycle 0’, which stands for underground works:  the excavation has been completed, and concrete casting for the underground parking garage is under way. By now, 38% of the apartments in the building have been sold.

Torn’s architectural solution was developed by the architectural design company ARS Projekt under the supervision of architect Rasmus Tamme. The interior design was created by Superellips Interior Designers.
